Super Sport
Overview
For some, the surrender to an elemental life of immense
azure skies and depthless seas is reason enough.
For others, it is a contest of will and heart with
a solitary marlin. There are some who need no other
reason to own one of the world’s most celebrated
yachtsthan to steer her over an inland passage
in search of the farthest reaches of experience.
The Ocean 54 Super Sport combines the production
efficiencies that have made Oceans famous for value
with many amenities found on our larger yachts. And
an advanced planing hull that reimagines seaworthiness
for a new generation of boaters.
She possesses an elegant salon, roomy dinette, and
a galley equipped for all occasions. Three large
staterooms and three private heads. A spacious bridge
on which to command your destiny. A cockpit and mezzanine
to coordinate the pursuit of fish or pleasure on
the water or at the dock.
If you are one for whom experience is everything,
the new 54 Super Sport is everything you could wish
for.
Hull Design
The 54 Super Sport possesses the soft contours, modified
flush-forward deck design, and distinctive sheerline
that make Oceans the touchstone in classic American
production yachts. Like our flagship 73 SS model,
the 54 Super Sport features an aft-deck mezzanine
with padded seats, presiding over the sportfishing
action in the tournament-sized cockpit.
Every Ocean model since the 57 Super Sport rides
on an evolved planing hull engineered for significantly
reduced resistance, less slippage and improved efficiency
at all speeds. The 54 SS is no exception. At the
large flybridge’s island helm station, Ocean
captains can navigate difficult seas – at cruising
speed – without the punishing effect common
aboard many competitive boats. Ocean’s new
rough-water hull may well be the best in class. Foul
weather can discourage many other sportfishermen
while ours are running for the offshore canyons and
big-game fish.
Propeller tunnels have been added to the 54 SS for
those who want to dock their boat behind the house,
explore inland waterways, or cruise a river or canal
to the sea. Draft is just 4'.
The 54 Super Sport is capable of 30+ knots with standard
diesels driving her. These unbeaten top speeds are
achieved using more fuel-efficient engines with smaller
footprints. Optional powerplants are available for
those wanting even more power. Integral to the hull,
an underwater exhaust system reduces fumes and significantly
dampens sound.

Structural Hull Warranty
